Poornima Dahale started learning Odissi from Smt. Jhelum Paranjape when she was just 10 years old.
Like is the case with many artists, her father Shri Nandu Dahale is an artist himself and teaches at
Sane Guruji Arogya Mandir.
She has been a part of Smitalay for well over a decade now. Quite
visibly, her movements are
very natural, and that can be seen when she performs. She is an integral member of all of Smitalay's
productions. Poornima is also among the lucky ones who have learnt from Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra.
Poornima teaches at Smitalay's main branch in Santacruz.
